Isaiah 43:25 “I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and will not remember your sins.” (ESV)
The best gift of God is His forgiveness! When we repent, God forgives all the wrongs we have committed throughout life, whether mistakenly or intentionally; no matter how light or heavy our sins are, God forgives us for His own sake.
It is truly a blessing to know that God is not like man, or woman. He does not hold grudges; instead, God welcomes you to come to Him and repent to receive forgiveness, His forgiveness.
When God forgives you for your sins, He sets you free from any debt, offenses, guilt, and consequences. John 8:36 says, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (ESV) When you are set free, you are released from all of your guilt, all of your shame, all of your debt, and all of your sins...no exclusions, but it is up to you to accept His forgiveness.
God’s gift of forgiveness is yours, if you accept it. God stands ready to forgive and to set you free, but you are responsible for taking God’s forgiveness. You decide to accept or reject Jesus Christ as your Lord and Forgiveness. If you accept Christ as your forgiveness and turn away from your sins, you will be forgiven entirely, set completely free, and restored to a righteous relationship with the Most High God!
